Sailing Lake Superior Otter Cove
By Anne

Otter Cove along the wilderness islands of Ontario is one of my favorite anchorages. This is such a beautiful place that no description could treat it fairly. Tall, forest covered hills; smooth rocky areas, and bright green marshes can be seen as you survey this snug cove. At one end is a river, and if you follow it to the end you can enjoy a beautiful waterfall. Some years it is rushing wide, wild and frothy white. Other years it is a small falls against a rock face.

While anchored here we are often treated to a lovely sunset with loons and white crowned sparrows serenading us.

As we rise in the morning we may be greeted by an early morning fog laying over Otter Cove’s river and its falls.
